LET US DO THE DRIVING
10th November 2006
Northern Rail is inviting shoppers to ‘let us do the driving’ as it introduces new Sunday services between Morpeth, Newcastle and the Metro Centre during the run up to Christmas.
The new services begin on 12 November and will operate every Sunday until 17 December. They will give shoppers the opportunity of leaving the car at home, avoiding road works and congestion and travelling with ease to Morpeth, Newcastle and the Metro Centre.
Steve Butcher, Area Director, Northern Rail said: “ We have introduced these services in response to feedback from passengers and rail user groups. Christmas preparations can be stressful enough, without spending your time stuck in traffic queues. Our new Sunday services will allow passengers to sit back and relax, review their purchases or simply look at the scenery to and from their chosen destination whether it is the Metro Centre or the Farmers Market in Morpeth.”
