FURTHER INVESTMENT IN SETTLE AND CARLISLE LINE

As Network Rail undertakes essential engineering work, as part of its programme of renewal of the Settle and Carlisle line, train operator Northern will be operating the following revised services from Sunday 16 July to Sunday 30 July (inclusive):
 
A limited train service will operate between:

• Leeds and Settle
• Carlisle and Appleby (Mondays to Fridays)

 
Replacement bus services will operate between:
· Settle and Appleby or Carlisle calling at intermediate stations.  Buses will not call at Dent.
· Settle and Carlisle calling at Kirkby Stephen and Appleby.  Buses coming from Carlisle and Appleby will continue to Skipton to enable passengers to make connections with trains to Leeds.
 
Leeds - Lancaster / Morecambe services are unaffected by this work.
