For over 130 years, the people of Heaton and its surroundings have helped to keep the railways running. Come and join us when Heaton Depot will be open to the public to celebrate its railway heritage and also its place within the community.

Standard entry family - £7.50

Staff + family (active and retired) - FREE (pre application required)

Please ensure that you have a space at the event by buying your tickets inadvance. These can be purchased by postal application by sending a cheque for the relevant amount payable to 'Northern Rail Ltd' to the following address 'HEATON DEPOT COMMUNITY OPEN DAY, TICKETS. c/o Carol Bayley, Heaton Train Maintenance Depot, Off Benfield Road, Walker, Newcastle, NE6 2XT' Please include a stamped addressed envelope for your tickets to be posted to you. As there is no parking at the depot, the admission ticket includes the price of travel on shuttle services between Newcastle Central Station and the depot. This will run approximately every hour during opening times. Terms and conditions apply. All attractions subject to availability.
